I couldn't be more proud of my boys....

Adam tired after a long afternoon's work.
That's Brandi(sales rep I work with) her husband and her little boy helping decorate trees.
Even Mark came after he got out of work!
This couple here melted my heart. He was in good health but moved into the home so he and his wife could be together. He decorated her tree and I mean he DECORATED. There wasn't an area on that tree that didn't have SOMETHING on it. He kept saying "is that pretty enough for you hunny?" <3
Ms. Elaine(my boss) and Justin aka "Santa"(he is assistant manager at my office)
Ashton decorating trees.
Matthew with the tree he decorated for a resident who was too sick to come down to the activity room.
Nicholas setting up the tables for the residents.
Nicholas and Adam waiting to go in.
Adam waiting to get started!
Before we left the house. Adam on the left, Nicholas on the right(they even agreed to wear the TIGHTS!! ROFL)

Yesterday my work went to a nursing home and brought little miniature trees and all the decorations so the residents could decorate their very own tree. It's an annual tradition at regions bank but since this is my first Christmas working there this was my first time there.

My younger two boys, Nicholas and Adam, agreed to wear elf costumes and help the people decorate their trees and pass out gifts. Nicholas was particularly sweet. He helped several residents decorate their trees and even helped one drink her juice.

Matthew and Ashton wore Santa hats and reindeer hats and helped decorate trees for the residents that were unable to come down to the activity room.

I am so proud of my boys!!

Long time, no post!

Crap I have been such a slacker. This new schedule for my work is killing me. Last Monday I had orientation, Tuesday I had my observation day(8 hours), Wednesday-Thursday-Friday-Monday I had on line training(8am-2pm). Then today started my first day of OTJT(on the job training) and I have to do 40 hours of that before I go to work at my branch on my regular schedule.

I want to get this done and get on my Monday/Friday schedule. I don't think I'm cut out for full time work right now LOL. Between packing my lunch, the boys lunches, laying out all of our clothes, getting everyone fed and to school in the morning and then fighting rush hour traffic I am BEAT at the end of the day.

Just wanted to do a quick update and let my readers(all 2 of you LOL) know that I didn't fall off the face of the earth.

Trying to find words....

It's no secret that I have been over the moon since 10pm CST on Tuesday, November 4th 2008. Not only the historical aspect of what this means but the fact that I feel it down to my bones that this man, Barack Obama, is the change this country needs.

Politics aside, I believe he is truly a uniter not a divider. This country needs to heal. We need peace. 8 year of turmoil is enough. I am ready to replace the words war, death, plummeting, foreclosure, hatred with PEACE, LIFE, HOPE, PROSPERITY, and most importantly LOVE.

I know Republicans and Democrats will never see eye to eye on politics and that is Ok as long as we can all agree on the fundamentals which I think are peace, life, hope, prosperity, and love As long as you have those things everything else ceases to be as important.....

This video is so POWERFUL. I cry each.and.every. time I watch it.

Peace!! HOPE.

First complaint post...

Ok so it took me all of what, 3 hours before I started complaining but this has been festering for a little over a month now.

Back story: Mark has 2 sisters. One of them we have NO contact with(it's mutual disdain). The other sister has been content to be a birthday and holiday aunt, ie: no physical contact(never comes to visit, etc.) but has always sent birthday and holiday gifts. Until now. Matthew's birthday was September 12th. Today is October 24th. As of today, he has received NOTHING for his birthday. Not even a card. Not even an E-CARD. She did however send ME an e-mail saying "I didn't forget Matthew's birthday, tell him I'll try to have something to him by CHRISTMAS".

It pisses me off for several reasons. First of all she sends me at least 4 political forwards per week. She has the time to do that but she can't lick a stamp and put it on a fucking card?? She sends an e-mail to me and makes it seem like her life is just too busy to acknowledge her nephew's birthday in a timely manner. I have 4 kids to her 2 and I still manage to send her daughters a birthday gift.

Matthew is 11. He is getting old enough to notice when he gets the shaft. I'm struggling to keep my angry feelings buried so I don't sound like a bitter bitch when I try to explain to him that she is a self absorbed fruit loop in a kid friendly way.

My first post.

Hi everyone! I have been a long time journaler at live journal but it has lost it's appeal to me and became more like a chore to update or comment so I moved over here. For those just getting to know me I am Keri, 31, mom to 4 boys. My oldest son is Matthew and he just turned 11. Ashton is my second son and he will be 10 in December. Nicholas is baby boy #3 and he is 7. And the baby of the family, Adam, is 5 years old.

This is the first year all the boys have been in school full time so I am trying to figure out what to do with myself and I am currently job hunting and contemplating going back to school(psst: I am a chicken and petrified I will fail if I go back to school).

My husband is Mark, 32, former army man and now a civilian. We have been married for 12 years, together for 15. He is my rock and I love him dearly. Anyone that puts up with me for this long and loves me the way he does is worthy of nothing but respect. He has gone to Iraq 3 times and he is a kick ass dad.

Well that's about it for now. I need to play around and get my journal fixed up all pretty and stuff. LOL
